Delivery

Ed Mendoker's delivery service started in early 1999. It is the newest aspect of our business. We deliver anything, anywhere (within reason), anytime. The service is free to all local areas and only a nominal charge for further locations. Jim Hanson is our delivery driver. Jim's moto is "Never say no!" When it absolutely has to be there, call Jim!
Ed Mendoker's father always wanted an old truck for the business for promotions and parades. We talked about it for years, until we finally agreed to try and find one that was the same year that the bakery was started in 1932. After talking to people who collect cars and spending a lot of time searching the web, we came to the conclusion that it was an impossible quest.
I was talking to a friend of my fathers one afternoon, Billy Warren Sr., about looking for a truck, and he told me that he had one in a barn the right year and type. Billy said that before you get all excited you better take a look at it first, its in bad shape and in a million pieces. No lie, this thing was torn up. So it was meant to be, we found one on the same block that we live on. I brought it home and with a lot of help form friends, namely Henry Seip Jr. and Norris Tindall, we worked at it for over 3 years. This is a picture of the finished project.
After stripping it down, we discovered that is is stamped #1 Chester, PA., which means this truck was the first 1932 model B made in 1932 from that factory. If you want any more info on the restoration, please e-mail me.
Ed Mendoker appreciates the title of #1 in everything we do.
